2 How often are classes?
We run weekly classes to align with the four primary school dates. Children attend lessons once a week during term time, with classes on the same day and time each week. Please be aware classes aren't held on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.
3Is the Goldfields School swimming pool heated?
Yes the Goldfields School pool is heated year round.
4When can I sign up for swimming lessons?
Our infant swimming programme starts from 3 months of age. You can sign up for any of our programmes throughout the term subject to space availability. If we don't have space we can waitlist you for your preferred day.
5Can I change my booking?
Get in touch with us and we can check availability.
6How do I book for next term?
All bookings are term based and perpetual, if you are currently enrolled in a class your booking will automatically be rolled over the following term, this means you keep the same class day and time. To confirm the booking all that is required is to make full payment by the due date on the invoice. If payment isn't received by the due date your booking will be cancelled and we cannot guarantee a place in a class for the following term. You will need to contact us to rebook.
Lesson costs and payments
1How much do lessons cost?
The cost of group lessons is $15.00 per lesson per child. We ask for full payment at the time of booking to secure your place in the class. Please be aware classes aren't held on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you normally swim on these days fees are automatically adjusted to take this into account at time of booking.
Goldfield School Pool entry cost $20 per term per child.
2How do I pay for swimming lesson?
Internet Banking - When you receive your invoice you will see a bank account number for payment. Once we receive the payment a receipt is automatically sent.
3What happens if I don't pay by the due date?
All bookings are term based and perpetual. To confirm the booking you need to pay by the due date on the invoice. If payment isn't received by the due date your booking with be cancelled and we cannot guarantee a place in a class for the following term. You will need to contact us to rebook. Please note we reserve the right to combine or cancel classes or change your swim teacher if necessary.
Class requirements and information
1What do I need to bring?
We have a compulsory swim cap policy for all children from the age of 6 months. For your lesson your require towel, togs, swim cap and goggles if you wear them.
2What does my baby need to wear for lessons?
Please ensure all children under the age of three years wear a water proof nappy and tight fitting togs over to minimise the risk of accidents.
3Do I need to be in the water with my child?
If you've enrolled in our infant programme, a parent or caregiver be must be in the water to assist the child. Once the child has turned 3 years the parent or caregiver can watch from the side of the pool.
4How long are swimming lessons?
All learn to swim classes are 25 minutes.
5If my child misses a swimming lesson can we make it up at a later date?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer make up lessons and do not offer refunds when a child misses a swimming class.
