Chris: Paeroa Swim School Manager
I started as a volunteer swim teacher with the Ngatea Swim Club way back in 1988.  After a move to Hamilton, I became a qualified swim teacher, working at Waterworld and Gallagher Aquatics, as well as coaching at a local club. I have also been involved in club and coach development for many years. I'm now looking forward to using my knowledge and passion, to create an environment where your children can feel safe, and develop confidence and water safety skills.

Now my children have left home , I have returned to my sporting love, swimming.  I am heavily involved in children's athletics, but have always had a love for swimming.  I swam competitively in my earlier years and now would like to pass on my love of swimming to the next generation.  I am enjoying the opportunity to improve the swimming ability and confidence of children in water and look forward to meeting your child.

Having been involved in Surf Lifesaving NZ I learnt the importance of Water Safety. With the endless opportunities in NZ to enjoy the water I find it very rewarding and satisfying teaching children to safely gain confidence and skills in the water.

I am a mature solo mum of two young boys. While poolside at their lessons I was inspired to be more involved as an instructor and use my skills back in the water.
I have always loved to swim and enjoyed many years playing underwater hockey.
Being involved with children while they grow in confidence and learn new skills is an exciting and rewarding opportunity.

I have always been involved in swimming. I swam for both the Thames and Paeroa Swimming Clubs. I believe that the ability to swim is an essential life skill to have. I am passionate about the sport and the development of the skills in the next generation.

Growing up I was always in the water and involved in swimming, I think it’s important for kids to know water safety and also to enjoy swimming. Watching the children gain confidence in the water and progress is something I really enjoy being a part of.

I love working as a swim instructor. Learning to swim is such an important part of Kiwi lifestyle. Seeing the students go from not wanting to put their feet into the water to being able to blow bubbles and put their heads under is a real feel good moment for me. Hearing, "I can do it by myself" is the best ever!!! I am a new Granny and can't wait for the chance to teach him to be confident in the water.
